The Golden State Warriors will tangle with another top team in the Western Conference when they host the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night in the second game of ESPN’s doubleheader. The Dubs had a matinee with the Utah Jazz on Sunday and will try to take advantage of a reeling LA squad that dropped six of eight before rallying for a win over Indiana on Friday night. The teams split a pair of earlier games with the Lakers posting a 26-point victory just a few weeks ago in LA.  Bookmaker.eu offers a generous welcome bonus (max bonus $1600).

Odds Analysis

The Lakers got a much-needed win last time out rallying from a 12-point fourth quarter deficit to down the Pacers 105-100. It stopped a two-game losing streak and was just LA’s fourth win in 11 games since Anthony Davis was injured. The Lakers are 4-1 ATS in their last five games and will attempt to build off that victory against a Warriors team they blasted 117-91 just two weeks ago. That was easily the Lakers finest moment over the last month. The recent skid dropped them below Phoenix in the Pacific Division with an overall record of 25-13 SU and 18-10 ATS. The Warriors opened the second half of the season the same way they closed the first half. Losers of three straight before the break, the Dubs were manhandled 130-104 by the Clippers on Thursday falling back to .500 and out of the top-eight in the West. They regrouped for a win over Utah on Sunday improving to 13-6 SU and 12-7 ATS at home.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers got some good news and bad news on the status of Davis. He was cleared to move to the next phase of his rehab, but a return is still a few weeks away at the earliest. The loss of AD has been evident with the Lakers going 4-7 since AD exited a game against Denver on Feb. 14. “We’ll be patient. We’ll continue to compete and win games. And we’ll all be very excited once we get AD back,” coach Frank Vogel said. The Lakers are down another big man with Marc Gasol sequestered for a few more games under the league’s health and safety protocols.

One player who can make up for the absence of Davis is Kyle Kuzma, and he showed how much of a difference maker he can be against the Pacers. Kuzma scored 15 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter to help the Lakers storm back from 12 points down to get the win. Kuzma added 13 rebounds and got plenty of help, something the Lakers need to enjoy success without Davis. LeBron James had 18 points and 10 assists and Montrezl Harrell added 17 points. Still, the Lakers looked out of sync until their fourth quarter surge carried them to a payout win, their fourth cover in five games.

Golden State Warriors

Spending a lot of time on the road hasn’t been ideal for the Warriors, but it is the schedule the league spit out and all teams must adhere to it. They weren’t complaining when the early part of the season was littered with home games, so take it for what it’s worth. The home tilt with LA is their second in as many nights and just their third at Chase Center in a month. And they’ve been a decent home team going 13-6 SU, which is impressive for a club that’s floating around .500.

And they were happy to be back home after getting swept in a four-game road trip. Two of the setbacks were by 26 points and another was a 22-point drubbing. Maybe the Dubs can find some peace at Chase where they’ve won five of six with the only loss to the surging Brooklyn Nets. A lot of bad things happen when Steph Curry is off his game. In the loss to the Clippers Curry was limited to 14 points on 6 of 16 shooting and he was just 1 of 8 on three-pointers. The Dubs need Curry to score and set the table for the rest of the team. When that doesn’t happen the Warriors suffer.

Bet Lakers at Warriors at BookMaker.eu

I don’t think we’re going to have a runaway like the last time the teams met. The Lakers cruised in that one with six players scoring double figures and the defense holding Curry to 5 of 13 shooting and 16 points. This is the second of a back-to-back for the Warriors and they exerted a lot of energy to beat Utah. The Lakers are rested, which will only help LeBron as he leads his club to a road win.

NBA Score Prediction: Lakers 113, Warriors 107
