Following his 4th place finish and $75,708 payday in the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better WSOP event, poker player Mike "The Mouth" Matusow reflected on how much agony it is to play each year.

He tweeted:

I'd really like to see the poker world play everyday in severe chronic pain and have half results I do every year. I got more heart then any human alive and my turn is coming! #positivity

He did elicit some sympathy for his plight.

Mike, I don’t know how you do it especially in those chairs, they are terrible. I’m a. Cancer survivor&have tumors causing me constant pain, after 5-7hrs or play I’m in agony.I don’t know how you do 12 everyday, playing at the HIGHEST level. You need a bracelet just for that.

Mostly though he got bashed for being a whiner, especially after winning over $75,000:

So you would like for all of poker to be in chronic pain? That’s the best you can do with your made up Twitter wish? And I just checked, your time was ten years ago...

Joe Boris @joeboris364:

Excuses. Try being a person in pain who has to go to WORK everyday

Wow dude! I severed my sciatic nerve, had dual discectomy and laminectomy surgery on my back, have bilateral sacroiliitis in my hips as a result and still go to work every day for my family........You sit in a chair and play cards.

I love you Mike, but more heart than any human alive!?!? C’mon, maybe more than any poker player.

Michael Hansberry @Hans2772:

Mike, I’m a fan, but that statement is a bit much.

Zach Davis tweeted:

You need a pat on the back Mike but we don’t want to hurt you.
