March Madness Best Bets 2019: Kansas Jayhawks, Cincinnati Bearcats, Terps Home Court Advantage

One has to take a second look at the likes of the Cincinnati Bearcats, Maryland Terps and Kansas Jayhawks due to the home court advantage scenarios.  Such an edge should be incorporated into the betting line throughout the tournament.

Cincinnati will be playing in Columbus right away, facing off against Iowa, then Tennessee or Colgate assuming they advance.  Columbus is a mere 1 hour and 45 minutes away from where the Bearcats play.

A matchup between the Bearcats and Vols would have Cincinnati as the home team technically.

But how is this for fair? 

Should the Bearcats advance past Tennessee, they will play a Sweet 16 game in Louisville.  That's even better home court advantage.  Louisville is closer to Cincinnati than is Columbus.  Go figure.

The Kansas Jayhawks get to play in Kansas City if they can get past the first two rounds.  In all likelihood, that would be a Sweet 16 matchup against North Carolina.

Maryland will get its shot to play the Sweet 16 in DC.  They'll likely have to fend off LSU assuming a victory over Belmont or Temple.  The Tigers are dealing with a lot of chaos right now.
