Making his first career start in his first NFL game, Mullens shredded the Raiders in Week 9 and will look to duplicate that effort with plenty of prop bet options available. The Niners are a 3.5-point favorite on the NFL betting line at BookMaker.eu, but that hasn’t been a good thing. They’ve been favored three times this season going 1-2 SU and 0-3 ATS when laying points.

The Niners didn’t make a move to a veteran QB after Jimmy Garoppolo went down with a shredded knee earlier in the season. Maybe Kyle Shanahan knew what he had in Mullens, who was stashed away on the practice squad with no team showing interest after a mediocre training camp and exhibition season. There’s no way anyone could see what Mullens did against the Raiders coming.

Can Mullens replicate that success on Monday night? It’s always easier when the backup gets the call without much notice, and that was the case for Mullens, who didn’t know he would be starting last week until the day of the game. And he faced a defense that basically rolled over and played dead for 60 minutes making his job much easier. Still, Mullens had a record-setting performance with 262 yards and three touchdowns on 16 of 22 passing.

The Giants will find out if Mullens is for real. But things change for the second-year player. He entered the week as the starter and took first-team reps in practice. And unlike the Raiders, the Giants had game film to look at. And they would have noticed that Mullens doesn’t have a strong throwing arm and the short to intermediate passing game is what works. That’s why fading Mullens on his passing yards total on a prop bet at BookMaker.eu is a winner.

But it also means that George Kittle could be in for another big game. The tight end leads the Niners by a lot in targets, receptions and receiving yards, and he had a big game catching passes from Mullens last week. Kittle hauled in all four of his targets for 108 yards and a touchdown, and with nine of his 41 catches going for 20 or more yards, including touchdowns of 82 and 71 yards. He’s a big play waiting to happen and opposing defenses have been powerless to stop him. Wagering the over on Kittle’s receiving yards looks like a smart play.

Don’t be fooled by what the Niners did defensively the last two games. They held a pair of pop-gun offenses in Arizona and Oakland to a combined 21 points and will go against a Giants team that has prop bettors salivating at its skill position players.

Eli Manning is the starting quarterback and Pat Shurmur put to rest any question otherwise by standing by his veteran. Stats-wise Eli is having a decent season. He’s thrown for 2,377 yards while completing 68.3 percent of his passes. At his advanced age, Manning has trouble eluding the pass rush and has been sacked a league-high 31 times. Expect the Giants to use a short passing game with Odell Beckham Jr. and Saquon Barkley being the beneficiaries.

New York has struggled running the football even with the No. 2 overall pick, but Barkley has played a big role catching passes. He’s second behind OBJ in receptions and he’ll be Manning’s safety valve with a strong chance of exceeding his catch total. OBJ will have plenty of opportunities to show off against a thin Niners secondary, and he will eventually snap off a big gainer for a touchdown that will also help his receiving yards go over the projected total on a prop bet at BookMaker.eu.
