Layne Flack Inducted Into the Poker Hall of Fame

It's official, the late great Layne Flack has been inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame.

Flack beat out nine other nominees, a list that included Matt Savage, Josh Arieh, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Kathy Liebert, Mike Matusow, Norman Chad & Lon McEachern, Michael Mizrachi, Brian Rast, and Isai Scheinberg.

It was an obvious choice, so obvious that Executive Tour Director of the World Poker Tour Matt Savage told our own Thomas Somach the odds were "1-1,000,000".

Our own Thomas Somach also predicted Flack would be inducted.

The voting process started last month with poker fans nominating the person they felt best deserved induction and the individuals with the ten highest votes sent to the 30 living members of the Poker Hall of Fame.  Those 30 ultimately chose the winner.

Flack passed away last year from a drug overdose at the age of 52.
