Kirk Cousins is Just 1-9 Against the Spread on Monday Night

Minnesota Vikings starting quarterback Kirk Cousins was not quite ready for prime time.  Heading into Monday night's game against the Chicago Bears, Cousin was 1-9 both Straight Up and Against The Spread playing in prime time.

The Vikings faced off against division rivals Chicago Bears as a -7 favorite and won.  The win and close cover now makes Cousins 2-9 in prime time.

The win also helped propel Minnesota to the No. 7 seed in the Playoffs for now despite being 7-7.   That's because they were one of six NFC teams with six or seven wins ahead of Week 15.  Outside of the top heavy NFC West, only the leaders in all other divisions had a record above 6-7.

The win against Chicago was necessary to stay alive.  Minnesota would do itself a favor by going 4-0 down the stretch.  Failing to do so won't necessarily mean they are out of contention.
