The senior was named Third Team All-American by the Associated Press in advance of the Razorbacks’ first game in the NCAA Men’s March Madness tournament March 17 vs Vermont.  It's the first time an Arkansas player that has been named to either a first, second or third team All-American in seven years.

Against Vermont, Notae was limited to 27 minutes because of foul trouble, but he added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.

"This tournament there is nothing guaranteed," Notae said. "Everybody is trying to win. So with that, we just have to come out there and play from the jump to the finish."

JD Notae followed that one up by scoring 18 points and nabbing nine steals before fouling out with 1:22 left against New Mexico State on Saturday.

The Razorbacks advanced to play top-seeded Gonzaga at the West Region site in San Francisco on Thursday.
