TCU made it into the 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship game but suffered the worst loss in bowl history at the hands of Georgia, 65-7.  The Horned Frogs opened the season at 200-1 odds to win the championship.

“I’m disappointed we didn’t make a better show tonight because that’s not indicative of who we are. But we’ll look back — it’s going to take some time for the sting to go away, I assure you — but we’ll look back on the season and build on it from here,” first-year coach Sonny Dykes said.

College Basketball Tournament 2023

Houston got in as the favorite to win it all.  Texas, Baylor, TCU and the Texas A&M Aggies each represented the Lone Star State in the 2023 NCAA Tournament.  Four of the Texas schools promised payouts of $4000 or less for every $100 bet as they sat among 14 teams with the shortest odds. 

Texas and Baylor each advanced to the second round, as did the favorites Houston.

The Cougars beat Auburn to move into the Sweet 16 but bowed out in an 89-75 loss to Miami.
