Draftkings is not licensed in Florida to take bets.  A number of other websites licensed outside the state do take bets from Florida residents however.  Claim your generous welcome bonus (max bonus $2500)

Florida recently entered into a compact with the Seminoles that would permit mobile wagering, however, that effort was shot down by U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich after owners of Magic City Casino in Miami-Dade County and Bonita Springs Poker Room in Southwest Florida challenged the compact

Draftkings for now remains shut out of the market.  They were attempting to get a ballot initiative for the 2022 Election, but that effort fell flat as it failed to gain enough signatures.

Sportsbooks licensed outside the state have been accepting customers from Florida for better than two decades now.  They offer an excellent option outside of the Seminoles sports betitng app.

Florida has a handful of casinos, all of which are run by the Tribes. The Seminoles are the most dominant of the casino operators.  They teamed up with Disney to ensure a voter referendum would dictate any gambling expansion in the Sunshine State.  This all but ensures the Seminoles maintain their near monopoly while Disney is betting on residents to vote against any future casino development.  But now DraftKings is using this referendum to gain access to the Florida market, claiming a good chunk of tax revenue will go towards education.

Florida's Bowl Presence 2022-23

While the Florida teams did not exactly meet expectations, Central Florida continued to make a name for itself.

Once again they closed out 2022 with a solid 9-win regular season and were facing off against a surprise Duke team in the Millitary Bowl.

While UCF did have some impressive wins, they also dealt with some mind-blowing losses that included a 17-14 defeat to a four-win Navy team.

UCF entered this game ranked 10th in the nation with 481 yards of offense per game.

As for those other Florida teams, the Gators got crushed by Oregon State 30-3 in the Las Vegas Bowl while FSU was preparing to take on Oklahoma with some home field edge playing in Orlando's Cheeze It Bowl.

Miami failed to qualify for the 2022-23 bowl season.
