ONCHAN, Isle of Man –  PokerStars and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood have teamed up to bring Florida players an action-packed live poker schedule throughout November, when PokerStars will award three Platinum Passes to the PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship (PSPC), which will take place in the Bahamas in January 2019. Each Platinum Pass is worth approximately $30,000 and includes a $25,000 PSPC buy-in, accommodation at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort and approximately $2,000 for travel and expenses.

The month-long program consists of the Moneymaker PSPC Tour, the Feeding South Florida Charity Poker Tournament, and Seminole Hard Rock’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open series.

Moneymaker PSPC Tour

PokerStars Ambassador Chris Moneymaker will be among hundreds of hopefuls keen to make their mark at the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood Poker Room from November 9-11, 2018 when the Moneymaker PSPC Tour makes its final stop of the series. The event will guarantee a $30,000 prize pool and offer players the chance to win life-changing sums of money by parlaying an $86 buy-in into a Platinum Pass. Starting flights will take place at 10 a.m. on November 9 and 10, with Day 2 kicking off at noon on Sunday, November 11.

”With multiple major series throughout the year, as well as some of the best cash action in the region, Seminole Hard Rock has really made a name for itself as one of the Meccas of the poker world,” said Chris Moneymaker. “Bringing the Moneymaker PSPC Tour to Hollywood was a no-brainer and we’re eager to change the life of one of the property’s players by awarding him or her a $30,000 Platinum Pass for only an $86 buy-in. I will be on site and in the field for this can’t-miss event.”

To date more than 4,000 entrants have participated in the Moneymaker PSPC Tour, Chris’ brainchild. Four more $86 buy-in tournaments, each awarding cash prizes and a Platinum Pass, are scheduled as follows:

  • 10-Oct to 14-Oct at Live!, Baltimore, Maryland
  • 23-Oct to 23-Oct at Run It Up Reno, Reno, Nevada
  • 31-Oct to 02-Nov at Talking Stick, Phoenix, Arizona
  • 9-Nov to 11-Nov at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, Florida

Feeding South Florida Charity Tournament

Following Hurricane Irma in 2017, PokerStars and Seminole Hard Rock united to raise important funds for the relief effort in South Florida. Last year’s charity poker tournament raised more than $66,000 and this year’s charity tournament will continue to raise funds for the organization, directly helping those most in need of assistance.

This year’s $300 buy-in event will commence on Tuesday, November 13 at the resort’s new Hard Rock Event Center. A player pre-party will kick-off the evening at 6 p.m., with the tournament starting at 7 p.m. Players can re-enter the tournament during the first two hours. More than $50,000 in cash and prizes, including a PSPC Platinum Pass, will be up for grabs.

Sue Hammett, Department Head, Corporate Giving at The Stars Group said, “PokerStars is delighted to once again work with Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood to raise money for Feeding South Florida.  Last year we saw players getting behind a charity poker tournament in the wake of Hurricane Irma and this event will once again enable them to support a charity which makes an important difference in Florida, with the added bonus of the chance to win a much sought-after Platinum Pass.”

Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open

From November 14–27, players who play in any tournament (multiple entries and re-entries permitted) during the Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open at Seminole Hard Rock will earn an entry in a drawing for a Platinum Pass. The drawing is set to take place on November 28. So far, $330,000 worth of Platinum Passes have been awarded to 11 U.S. players.
