Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood Announces Winners From The Big 4 Championships

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (August 11, 2021) – For the sixth consecutive year, the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (SHRPO) concluded with the crowning of The Big 4 champions at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood.

Unique to South Florida, the Big 4 is a collection of four tournament finales that feature staggered structures, timed so the events play down simultaneously. This year’s events boasted combined prize pool guarantees of $6.5 million. With 2,328 entries in Big 4 events, total cash payout exceeded the guarantees, topping out at more than $9.7 million.

The quartet of winners earned more than $1.7 million, with Dimitri Vorbe winning the SHRPO Championship NLH and claiming $929,365. This year’s SHRPO Championship drew 1,180 total entries, boasting a total prize pool of more than $5.7 million, marking the third largest championship field in SHRPO history.

2nd: AP Louis Garza - $674,285

3rd: Ian O’Hara - $437,350

4th: Mark Dube - $324,035

5th: Matt Affleck - $244,775

6th: Darren Rabinowitz – $197,850

7th: Jeff Trudeau - $163,390

8th: Harrison Brown - $130,455

9th: Michael Wang - $100,215

The other Big 4 winners include:

  • Shannon Shorr, winning the $2,650 NLH for $186,261
  • Scott Baumstein, winning the $1,100 NLH for $81,220
  • Joe McKeehen, winning the $25,500 NLH High Roller for $550,990

This year’s SHRPO kicked off with the $400 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (NLH) which had 3,730 entries across six starting flights. The event more than doubled its $500,000 guarantee for a final prize pool of more than $1.2 million. In a four-way ICM deal, chip leader Joseph Rossi was awarded the title and cashed $138,887.
