Find a Sportsbook That Takes Bets on In-State Schools From Virginia

While Virginia has legalized online sports betting, none of the state-licensed apps allow wagering on in-state schools such as the University of Virginia or Virginia Tech.  BetOnline is accessible from Virginia and does take bets on in-state schools (browser-based betting only).  BetOnline will never ask for a social security number

BetOnline also allows betting on games that feature the Cavs and Hokies.

The common trend is for Northeast states and those along the Mid-Atlantic to require state-licensed apps not to take bets on local schools or games that feature them.

This is NOT the common trend in the Southeast states where College Football is king.  Despite the Cavs impressive success in College Basketball and Hokies big College Football fan base, that just wasn't enough for lawmakers to cave apparently.

Speaking of the Cavaliers, their odds of winning the NCAA Men's College Basketball Championship in 2022 opened at 50-1 but neither they nor the Hokies appear destined for the March Madness tournament.
