FanDuel Pays Out $40K on Bama Win That Never Happened

Believing the Alabama Crimson Tide to be invincible, online sorts betting firm FanDuel paid futures bet on their 2019 College Football Championship win in advance.

That was $40,000 that went out to all those lucky gamblers.

As it turns out, Alabama did not win the Championship game the other day.  That honor went to Clemson.

FanDuel made the payments 36 days prior to the game.

Darren Rovell of the Action Network reports that the company could end up paying $400,000 when all is said and done.

The good news for FanDuel is that they only took bets in the state of New Jersey.
