Diaz vs. Ferguson Odds for UFC 279: Chimaev Out!

With Khamzat Chimaev missing weight this afternoon for his fight against Nate Diaz, speculation is swirling that Tony Ferguson will step in as the replacement.

SportsBetting.ag quickly set odds on the potential bout. Diaz surfaced as a -155 favorite (Ferguson +135), but within a half hour the odds have flipped.

Tony Ferguson -130

Nate Diaz +110

Any weight. 3 or 5 rounder. Must happen at UFC 279 for action.

Khamzat Chimaev-Nate Diaz was to go down as BetOnline's biggest liability ever if Diaz had won that fight.

The nontitle welterweight limit is 171 pounds and Chimaev came in at 178.5 pounds. Diaz was 171 pounds.

Complicating matters further, this was supposed to be the final fight on fan-favorite Diaz's UFC contract.

Chimaev, 28, is one of the UFC's biggest draws right now and had been listed as greater than a -1000 favorite at BetOnline prior to being yanked off the UFC 279 card.
