Breaking: Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester City Close to Agreement

Manchester City and Cristiano Ronaldo are close to reaching an agreement over a sensational move to the Etihad Stadium, sources have told ESPN.  Obstacles do still stand in the way however.

Sources told ESPN that City boss Pep Guardiola and Ronaldo spoke on the phone on Thursday morning ahead of his possible departure from Juventus.

SportsBetting.ag had created odds for Ronaldo's next club just days ago. Reunions with Machester City and Real Madrid were each favored at the top of the list.

Juventus would want around €28 million before allowing Ronaldo to leave but there is a keenness to get the 36-year-old off the wage bill.
