Chiefs Odds to Win the AFC South 2018

The Kansas City Chiefs had odds of 3/1 to win the AFC West.  This is a division that any of the four teams can win as there is no strong favorite and none of the teams look to be basement burners.

The Chiefs odds of winning the Super Bowl were at 35/1 and favored to win OVER 8.5 regular season games at -125 despite losing their starting quarterback Alex Smith to Washington.

Patrick Mahomes will be the new starter in KC.  For a franchise that made the playoffs only three times between 1998 and 2012 and four of five times in the past five years under Smith, there is a great degree of uncertainty surrounding this team and many bettors are sitting on the sidelines because of it.

Mahomes is a gifted passer.  Wide receiver Tyreek Hill is there to help him evolve.  Travis Kelce is among the star tight ends in the league.

The rest of this division cannot be written off.  San Diego is the early favorite but far from a lock.
