Chelsea had American odds of 16/1 to win the 2018-2019 EPL with more televised exposure in the U.S. market this season.  Worldwide odds were coming in also around 16/1.  The 2018-2019 Premier League Football season kicks off Friday 11 August.

Top 4 odds have some value with Chelsea priced relatively low at -150, so all they need to do is make the top 4.  Heading into the new season, they had the 4th shortest odds of winning the EPL Championship.

Top EPL Goalscorer: Harry Kane 3/1, Mohamed Salah 5/1, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 6/1, Romelu Lukaku 9/1 and Sergio Aguero 9/1.

What They're Saying

The Guardian:

Maurizio Sarri’s pursuit of pleasure is unlikely to be dull but there are question marks over most areas of the squad and a flock of young talents whose time might be now or never.

Last Word on Football:

Chelsea will find it difficult to compete this season, as the chaos over the summer has not helped. Liverpool, Manchester City, United and even Arsenal have all strengthened around them. It remains to be seen if Tottenham Hotspur will but it would be likely.  If the Blues do not add significantly as well as addressing the concerns, they could easily finish outside the top four once again. Chelsea will scrape it, but only just.
