The DraftKings sportsbook commercials are all over the airwaves during football and basketball season, but they are only available in around a dozen states, and some of those do not allow betting on the state colleges or games that feature them.  Alternatives include the likes of Jazz Sports, which has been serving the betting public since 1994 and features a generous welcome bonus (max bonus $2000).

What States is DraftKings Available for Sports Betting?

DraftKings offers its daily fantasy sports product in most states but wagering is limited to just a few.

These states include: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Illinois, Michigan, Iowa, Tennessee, Oregon, Virginia, West Virginia, Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming, Indiana and Louisiana.

DraftKings also operates retail sportsbooks in Mississippi.

Which States Am I Unable to Bet My In-State School?

Betting on in-state schools and games that feature them using the DraftKings app include New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Virginia, New Hampshire, Illinois and Oregon.  The later prohibits betting on any college sports.

A site like Jazz Sports does take bets on in-state schools from some of these states.
