You will not be able to play on Fox Bet from Illinios, at least not yet.  The company has opted not to allow those in Illinois to place wagers until it obtains a license from state regulators.  Currently sites like BetOnline, which are licensed outside the state, are available for real money betting within Illinois (residents and visitors alike can play on the site).  Max signup bonus $1000

Illinois should be up and running with state-licensed online sportsbooks this March Madness.

"The Governor is pleased that Illinois sportsbooks will open for business by March Madness, generating revenue to rebuild universities, hospitals and other facilities across the state," Governor JB Pritzker's press secretary, Jordan Abudayyeh confirmed Tuesday.

Illinois lawmakers passed legislation allowing for sports wageringback in June but the state has been slow at implementing rules and regulations.

In-person casino and mobile sports betting can officially go live March 17 though only betting firms based outside of Illinois will be taking bets on games featuring Illinois college teams.
