When Can I Bet Using the Draftkings App From Inside Ohio
It's possible individuals will be able to place bets via apps with Ohio-based sportsbooks as early as 2019. That's because lawmakers in Ohio have discussed the possibility of offering sports betting by amending the state's current laws.
As of March 11, 2021, the state was inching closer to legalization.
The Senate’s Select Committee on Gaming held its fifth hearing in six weeks.

Kevin Cochran, DraftKings senior manager of corporate affairs, argued for mobile sports wagering.
Cochran said successful legalized markets bring in more than 90% of revenue through online betting.
JACK Entertainment SVP of Government Affairs Dan Reinhard wants sports betting too but limited to already established facilities.
Reinhard claimed that 95% of revenue comes from a handful of operators. He cited Indiana with its 36 skins, 10 operating, and only five generating 97% of revenue.
“The data suggests, regardless of how many, no meaningful growth comes from oversaturation,” Reinhard said.
