You will not be able to bet using the Draftkings sportsbook app from Alaska as that state is yet to amend its laws applying to sports wagering. Currently, Jazz Sports (established 1994) is available to those living in Alaska. They offer a generous welcome bonus (max bonus $2000). Jazz Sports is offering a limited time only $1000 risk free wager.
Alaska legislators did introduce a sports gambling bill in mid February but the coronavirus pretty much halted any efforts for this bill to move forward.
Sports betting in Alaska would be part of a larger lottery bill in a state that doesn't have a lottery.
Mike Dunleavy stated back in February:
“In the face of low state revenues, my administration has been actively seeking new revenue sources to diversify our economy. Not only does this legislation have the potential of creating new business opportunities, the profits generated from lottery activities will be designated to K-12 education, domestic violence prevention programs, drug abuse prevention programs, foster care, and homelessness.”
Along with sports wagering, instant games, multi-state draw games, and keno would be allowed.
Sports betting will continue to be available from sites that are licensed outside of Alaska.
