The Kansas City Chiefs - The Chiefs look to defend their Super Bowl title and there is every indication they'll do just that with Patrick Mahomes at the helm and nearly all of last year's pieces of the puzzle remaining....not to mention a few upgrades.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Patrick Mahomes' 10-year contract is worth $503 million and includes $477 million in "guaranteed mechanisms."  He is the first professional athlete to have a half a billion dollar contract.

In the Super Bowl, Mahomes helped lead the Chiefs on a 21–0 run, resulting in that team's first Super Bowl victory in 50 years. Mahomes threw for 286 yards and two touchdowns.  He also ran for another 29 yards and one touchdown.  Mahomes was named Super Bowl LIV MVP.

The Chiefs took care of the Houston Texans in the season opener and look to do the same against their division rivals the LA Chargers in Week 2.

KC was listed anywhere from a -8 to -9 road favorite in LA.

They were favorites to win the Super Bowl again paying $450 for every $100 bet.  Those odds came down from +550 ahead of Week 1.

5002 Under  4499½  Passing Yards -115

The St. Louis Cardinals - The Cardinals were still at 30-1 odds of winning the 2020 World Series as of September 19, but with a record of 18-17 this did not look likely.

The Chicago Cubs appeared to be running away with the division however.
