(April 26, 2023) - Milwaukee now faces an uphill climb as only 13 NBA teams successfully have overcome 3-1 series deficits.  They will do so as a huge -12 point favorite.

"We just gotta go home and win a game," Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said. "We talked about it in the locker room. We gotta go to Milwaukee and win a game. Life is not complicated. That's what we gotta go do."

Miami is up against Milwaukee all without the help of their star Tyler Herro, who is sidelined for a few weeks.

The Heat are 4-10 Against The Spread in their last 14 road games.

Bucks vs. Heat Game 4

Jimmy Butler scored 30 points before resting in the fourth quarter as the host Miami Heat beat a Milwaukee team that was once again without Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Heat were too red hot for Milwaukee to handle, winning 121-99. Kyle Lowry scored 15 points off the bench for the Heat, while Max Strus added 12 points. Bam Adebayo added 12 points, 11 rebounds and five assists, and reserve Caleb Martin chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Miami will come into Monday's game as a +4.5 home dog

Antetokounmpo missed his 2nd consecutive playoff game with a lower back contusion.

Before Game 3, Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said Antetokounmpo is making progress.

“We’ll continue to monitor him, through the day tomorrow, through the day the next day,” Budenholzer said. “He’s not in a place where he can go, so we’ll just continue to monitor and work with him and hope for the best.”

Giannis' status for Game 4 remained unclear.

Bucks vs. Heat Game 3

(April 22, 2023) - With the series tied up 1-1, Milwaukee is optimistic that their star Giannis Antetokounmpo will return for Game 3.

Antetokounmpo is listed as questionable for this game and did not practice with the team but did participate in some individual drills on Friday.

"He's continued to improve," Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer said before the two-time MVP was ruled out for Game 2. "But organizationally, talking and working with him and the sports performance group, a decision was made. We'll continue to monitor him, expect for him to improve and still continue to be optimistic that soon he'll be ready to play."

The Bucks came back from a Game 1 loss to win 138-122 Wednesday.

Tyler Herro is out for Miami.

Heat vs. Bucks Game 2

Giannis Antetokounmpo was upgraded to questionable by the Bucks on Wednesday afternoon in the wake of a back injury suffered in Game 1.

"That's our guy, we hope he's gonna be well and back out there with us Wednesday," Khris Middleton said. "But we just gotta focus on who's out there at the same time. They had a guy go down also and they continued to compete and play well. Same mindset we tried to have. Sucks that our guy goes down or can't return, but we still got a job to do out there."

Milwaukee lost to Miami in Game 1 but the Heat lost star guard Tyler Herro for the next couple of weeks, assuming Miami can go deep.

Heat vs. Bucks Game 1

The Milwaukee Bucks entered this Playoff series having gone 58-24 straight up and 44-36 Against The Spread. They have only been covering in 40% of their games of late. Miami is 45-39 SU but they have been brutal to sports bettors.  The Heat have only covered in 31 games this season (31-49-2).  They are covering in 40% of their more recent games.

The line on this one is Bucks -9.  We get a number of 6.78.  The home team has won the last eight games outright and these teams have mostly split the last nine meetings.  Using the current spread of 9, Milwaukee has covered in three of their last five wins.

“You’re talking about an MVP in GA, all the shooting,” Miami's Jimmy Butler of Giannis Antetokounmpo after scoring 13 of his 31 in the fourth quarter against Chicago on Friday. “They’ve been together for a while. It’s going to be tough. We have to play damn near perfect basketball, which we’re capable of. I think we’re going to be OK.”

Entering this game, the Bucks were 13-4-1 Against The Spread in their last 18 Conference Quarterfinals games and 15-6 ATS in their last 21 games following a ATS loss.

The Heat were 9-21 ATS in their last 30 when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game, 7-17 ATS in their last 24 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game and just 6-27-1 Against The Spread in their last 34 games following a ATS win.
