The Nets have lost seven in a row and are 2-8 since Kevin Durant went down with a sprained MCL and they will face a Denver Nuggets team on the road that will be hungry for a win having lost three straight coming into this one.

The good news for Brooklyn is that the Nets have won five of the last seven against Denver.

The Nets are a +5.5 road dog here and those two losses over that span were by more than this spread.

There is a 5.5 point overlay here.  Even with Durant out, there is still an overlay detected.

The Nets are 6-20-1 Against The Spread in their last 27 when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game.

The Nuggets are just 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games.

The buzz ahead of Thursday's trade deadline is centering on James Harden, who is also out for this game, and a possible deal to bring Ben Simmons over from Philadelphia. Brooklyn coach Steve Nash said Harden is not focusing on what could happen but is taking care of his sore left hamstring.

"I don't think he pays attention in that way where it affects him," Nash said. "I think that's an outside noise thing rather than something that we're internally going, ‘Wait a minute.' No, I think we're like, ‘Here we go, more noise.'"

The Nuggets already made a deal ahead of the trade deadline, acquiring Bryn Forbes from San Antonio in a three-team swap that sent two injured Denver players to Boston.

The Nuggets defense continues to be an issue.

The Nuggets played without Aaron Gordon for the second straight game due to a left hamstring injury. His status for Sunday hasn't been announced.
