Both Dems Favorites Now to Win GA Senate Runoff

An upset is possible in Tuesday's Georgia Senate runoff race, assuming the oddsmakers and betting public are correct.   BETS MUST BE PLACED NO LATER THAN 4 PM ET

BetOnline continues to offer odds on Tuesday's runoff race.

Search traffic to the Gambling911.com for this event was equivalent to that for an NFL or college football championship game overnight Monday.

After opening as favorites, both GOP candidates were now underdogs.

Democrat candidate Raphael Warnock had overtaken Republican incumbant Kelly Loeffler early Monday as the -140 favorite while Democrat Jon Ossoff and Republican incumbant David Perdue were in a -115 dead heat.  By Monday evening, Ossoff was now a -140 favorite and Warnock was a virtual "lock" at -200.  For some perspective, Alabama opened as a -250 favorite versus Ohio State in the upcoming College Football Championship game.

Dave Mason of BetOnline broke down the action with both Democratic candidates seeing better than 60%.

Bets were coming in from all over the world, but oddsmakers are more likely to weigh Georgia wagers more heavily into the line.   BetOnline has amassed a significant active customer base in the state of Georgia over its 22 years in operation.
