Betting on Sports America 2020 Postponed Until December

The Coronavirus has taken another victim in the world of business as Betting on Sports America has decided to postpone its April event in the Meadowlands until December.

The following communication was sent out to sponsors, anticipated attendees and others in the industry.  Gambling911.com is a media partner for the organizers SBC Events.

As you are probably aware SBC Events has been keeping a close eye on the developing situation surrounding the Corona Virus outbreak and how it can likely impact Betting on Sports America in April.

The situation has been moving incredibly fast, with an increasing number of companies in our industry having started to introduce travel bans for their employees for the coming months.

Knowing about the travel bans and assuming that the situation in the US will worsen over the coming weeks / months, we have decided to postpone the event to 1st - 3rd December this year. This gives us plenty of time to steer away from the travel bans and obvious health threats currently surrounding events and larger gatherings.

While we have made every effort to run the event to the original timeline, it has become clear we would be unable to guarantee the quality of event the industry has come to expect from us, as the audience numbers would be severely impacted by the situation. We are really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but given the circumstances we have had to make this hard decision now rather than leave it any later.

We are moving the event and its existing agenda in its entirety to the new dates.

In addition to being an event where hundreds of individuals would be in close proximity to one another during presentations and scheduled parties, a significant number of attendees will be arriving via Europe.  There is some concern that transatlantic flights in and out of the US could be cancelled for a period of time should the situation worsen.  Most US-based airlines have ceased flying to and from China, South Korea and Italy for the forseeable future.
