"Most people he talked to had no idea who he was," sports bettor Rufus offered via Twitter.

Rufus runs the betting tool and educational platform Unabated and has over 41,000 followers.

So inquiring minds want to know, who was this most successful person in attendance at BetBash?

That would be 60-year-old Zeljko Ranogajec, an Australian horse bettor who founded the Punters Club syndicate.  He's also skilled at blackjack and advantage gambling.

The Punters Club also reportedly includes high-stakes poker player David Steicke among its members.

Rufus spoke highly of the event.

"The best part, by a mile, were the people who came up to me and told me what I’ve written on twitter about mental/emotional health and introspection has had a positive effect on their life. I was really floored at how many people it has impacted."

We're learning also that Gadoon “Spanky” Kyrollos is trademarking the BetBash name, so we can most certainly expect similar events in the future.
