The Steelers So Far This Season

From NFL.com: "Great win for the Steelers, hopefully providing a small bit of solace for a shaken city. This might be a football column, but is there anyone in America who is not tired of mass shootings? Mike Tomlin clearly felt the impact, noting that the synagogue at which 11 people were killed Saturday was no more 800 yards from his house. Pittsburgh's head coach got his team ready to play for the fans and their community, which was more than noticeable. The Steelers' defense gave its best performance of the season, not allowing the Browns to go over the 200-yard barrier as a team until complete garbage time. James Conner (212 yards from scrimmage) nearly matched Cleveland singlehandedly. No Pittsburgh player competed for himself in that game at Heinz Field on Sunday."

The Ravens So Far This Season

From ESPN.com: "Joe Flacco has struggled in throwing the ball deep. He has one of the strongest arms in the NFL, but the Ravens can't stretch the field. Over the past four games, Flacco is 1-of-13 on passes that travel at least 15 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. The lack of explosiveness puts too much pressure on Baltimore to grind out long drives. His 5.89 yards per attempt in October is the worst in the NFL."

Line Movement and Public Backing

The line on this game has moved from -3 to -2.5 as more than 70% of the action was on Pittsburgh.  We could see the line hit -2 by the time this one kicks off Sunday though not likely as bookmakers see this one falling on either 2 or 3.

Steelers vs. Ravens Betting Trends, Predictions

Baltimore is 6-4 in the series over the last ten but a closer look reveals that the Ravens have lost within four points in two of those games that went against them.  But the Ravens are favored here.  Four of their six wins were by well more than the current spread while two others were by a field goal.

Sagarin indicates the line should be Ravens -2.

Athlon has the Steelers winning by two points.

"The Ravens are the only team to hold the Steelers under 380 yards this season, limiting them to 284 while rolling up 451 yards of their own in the first meeting. But even that 26-14 victory never felt well in hand because the Ravens never got in the end zone in the second half, kicking four field goals to kinda-sorta-blow-open a game that was tied at 14 at halftime. It will be hard to shut the Steelers offense down again, and Baltimore will need more than field goals this time around.  Prediction: Steelers 28, Ravens 26"

We won't touch this one but Ravens by 2 or 3 points looks likely.
