What's the Line Movement, Betting Action

The line has moved from -3.5 to -2.5 with around 60% backing the Bears on the spread.  This is still considered fairly lopsided due to the amount of volume expected.  The Bears have listed quarterback Mitchell Trubisky as doubtful for Thursday’s game due to an injured right shoulder.

Division Odds

Because this is a highly competitive division, the frontrunner, Chicago, is still listed with relative short odds.  Trubisky's potential absence could result in Minnesota gaining ground.  The Vikings offer a better risk vs. reward scenario but either team has value at this point in time when compared to other divisions.

Bears Inch Towards Top 5 Ranking

From 9 to 7, ESPN.com: "Forgive the romanticism here, but the Bears brought back fond memories of years gone by against the Vikings this past weekend. The way this defense puts up points recalls the final season of the Lovie Smith administration, when Chicago was scoring tons courtesy of Brian Urlacher, Lance Briggs, Peanut Tillman and the gang. The famed Bears of 1985 also dominated, again on the shoulders of an aggressive defensive unit, although that D (surprisingly) only scored five touchdowns. The 2018 Monsters of the Midway have already reached that number and, due to Khalil Mack and Co., could claim the franchise's first NFC North title since 2010. Ah, the Caleb Hanie era ..."
