Ahead of Tuesday's GOP gubernatorial primary race in Georgia, current Governor Brian Kemp appeared to be sailing to a YUGE victory over former Georgia Senator David Perdue. Kemp would face off against Stacey Abrams, a former state representative. She ran unopposed in that state's Democratic Primary.

In the November race, Kemp was a pretty big favorite to win at -275.

With three other candidates in the Republican race, it’s possible that neither Kemp nor Perdue will win a majority, requiring a June 21 runoff. But most polls showed Kemp extending his lead in recent months.

Perdue was personally courted by former President Donald Trump to enter the race as retribution for Kemp not going along with Trump’s effort to overturn his 2020 loss in Georgia to Democrat Joe Biden.
