The line on the Astros vs. Celtics game was set around -110 both sides while the total opened at 9.5 and rose to 10 by the morning hours Tuesday.  There is a very good MLB betting trend we like here that we're actually going to go against.

Riding a five-game winning streak that dates back to their last contest against the Astros, the Boston Red Sox look to exact a measure of revenge when they welcome Houston for the start of a three-game series Tuesday night.

The Astros took three of four from the Red Sox at home from May 31 to June 3.

Gambling911.com anticipates some very hot bats in this game yet the sportsbooks know that gamblers will jump all over the Under.  And here is the reason why:

  • The UNDER is 10-1 in the last 11 games of this series

Framber Valdez (1-0, 1.64) starts for Houston.  Martin Perez (4-2, 3.09) starts for Boston.  Valdez (1-0) allowed one earned run on five hits and two walks while striking out 10 across seven innings, earning the win over the Red Sox on Wednesday.  Valdez struggled in the first inning, allowing two singles and walking in a run, before settling down.

Martin Perez blanked the Astros for 7 2/3 innings Thursday in the Red Sox's 5-1 win.

It's surprising that the total was so high at 9.5 but, thinking like an oddsmaker, we're going to go with the OVER 9.5 here.  Note also that both the Astros and Red Sox have had six games where they scored five or more runs.
