Michigan lawmakers are anxious to take up the issue of legal Internet poker once again with a new Governor who seems to be supportive of both the Web poker and sports betting sectors operating from within the state.

Michigan law does not specifically prohibit the use of Internet to violate its gambling laws, but state officials would certainly like to reap the benefits from taxation and licensing fees.
