Angels vs. Astros Betting Preview

  • The OVER is 15-3 in the last 18 games of this series heading into Monday.
  • Shohei Ohtani leads the Angels in home runs.  Mike Trout leads the majors in batting average (.380) and OPS (1.224). He also has eight home runs and 17 RBI this season. The Angels have hit 41 home runs this season.
  • The Astros offense is third in MLB, averaging 5.0 runs per game and a .259 team batting average.
  • Yuli Gurriel has been the all-around best hitter for Houston batting .342.
  • The Astros bullpen is 20th in MLB with a 4.25 ERA.

Some Things to Consider

  • Luis Garcia (0-3, 3.28) - Luis Garcia allowed three runs in 4 2/3 innings Wednesday in a no-decision against the Yankees.  Garcia surrendered two runs over 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Rockies previous to this game.  Garcia is pitching decent but is yet to get the win this season, making the Astros a hot option for a win Monday. Gambling911.com anticipates Garcia will yield no more than three runs in this game.
  • Lance McCullers Jr. (2-1, 3.58) - Following a no-decision, McCullers has had two wins coming into this one.  He can definitely be considered for the OVER trend in this series on Tuesday.
