2020 Dubai World Cup Cancelled

The Dubai World Cup has been cancelled for this year.

Originally scheduled for March 28, the organizers made the announcement on Sunday.

“To safeguard the health of all participants, the higher organizing committee of the Dubai World Cup 2020 has decided to postpone (the) 25th edition of the global tournament to next year," a presser announced.

The Dubai World Cup is a prep race for the Kentucky Derby.  The race features a $12 million purse.

A number of horse races in the US have been taking place without spectators.
