It really is a great holiday and a special time to give thanks for all of the many blessings in our lives. It’s also a time to watch three football games and bet like crazy people! Back in the good old days, there were only two games on Thanksgiving, then the NFL wised up and added a third but it was on the NFL Network. Now the NFL has really wised up and all three games are on the networks, on regular cable. FOX, CBS and NBC. Now, this is what we can all be thankful for! Thanksgiving Day is the football lovers dream and the sports gamblers heaven! 11 plus hours of football, the wives and girlfriends are going to be sick, sick, sick of it all, hopefully you have a great mancave and can hideout all day! Who wins these things today? Let’s check it out.

Bears vs. Lions

The Bears come in with a 7-3 record and they are playing great football. The Lions come in at 4-6 and they are playing sketchy football at best. Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky may be out for this game, so take note, this could be a big deal in this game and from all accounts, Trubisky is a game time decision. If he does not go, Chase Daniel will get the start, he is 65.4% lifetime with just 78 passes, 1 TD and 1 INT. Not a good scenario for heading into Detroit on T-Giving! Detroit has a two headed problem, scoring and allowing. They are scoring just 22.2 points per game and allowing 26.3 while the Bears are scoring 29.4 points per game and allowing 19.5. The Bears are rushing the ball for 122 yards and the Lions 100. The Bears are allowing 77 rushing yards to the Lions 125, not good numbers! The Lions picked up a win last week against Carolina and they come in with confidence and again, this it T-Giving in Detroit.

Prediction: If Trubisky plays--- Bears -3, if Trubisky does not play, Lions +3

Redskins vs. Cowboys

The Cowboys come into this affair with a 5-5 record but they are playing much better of late and have won 2 in a row and 3 of the last 5. They have already lost to the Redskins this season, so now they must put that behind them and press on. The Redskins lost a close one last week against Houston and beat Tampa the week before, they have also won three of the last five. The numbers are close all the way around, practically identical. Even the numbers between Alex Smith and Dak Prescott are a mirror image. Find a great stats site and look them up, you will see, the numbers are simply to close to call. This one will be tight, it will go to the wire and be oh so close. We have no idea who to choose against the spread, but we love the total going over 40! These two will break out and put some points up, it won’t be a barn burning 105 points like the Chiefs and Rams but should absolutely be enough to get the over.

Prediction: Over 40

Falcons vs. Saints

The last game of this Thanksgiving holiday features the Falcons vs. the Saints. This one could be a barn burning score fest, however, not so fast. The Saints have found some defense and they are holding their opponents to 23.9 points per game. The Falcons are allowing 27.6 points per game and scoring 26.3 per game while the Saints are scoring 37.8 points per game. Both teams are putting up well over 400 yards of offense but the Saints are killing it on the ground with 131 yards to the Falcons 88. The Falcons are allowing 418 yards of offense per game and that’s way too many against this 9-1 Drew Brees led team. We have doubted the Saints all season long and said their time is coming, but guess what? They prove us wrong time and again, game in and game out, they are slicing up the defense and putting on a scoring clinic. The Falcons have lost two in a row and this will be there third! Rack up the 10th win of the season for Brees, Kamara, Thomas and the boys in “Norlans”.

Prediction: Saints -13

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?

Bet on Jared Verse Draft Position

Jared Verse had an over/under selection number of 15.5 with CBS Sports believing the Florida State EDGE will be chosen by the Seattle Seahawks at No. 16.
