At Bookmaker.com the Pittsburgh Steelers half point difference line of -6 ½ has been drawing in the betting public all week long.

Most books have slightly more action on the Arizona Cardinals, explains Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.

"That's because these other sportsbooks are offering the Steelers Super Bowl line at - 7," he said.  "In which case a touchdown win means a ‘push' and no payout to gamblers."

At Bookmaker.com the public betting action was slightly favoring Pittsburgh simply because the half point could have such a huge impact in this game if it happens to be close.

Bookmaker.com along with Las Vegas's Hilton were among the only betting establishments offering the Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl line at -6 ½ the whole week and it will be interesting to see if the line moves to 7 by game time.  Thus far, the trend seems to be for the line to move down to -6 ½.  Since two days ago a few more online sportsbooks and one other Vegas book - Planet Hollywood - were offering a line of Steelers -6 ½.

"Actually it's almost 50/50 now across the board," commented Shapiro, referring to the number of online sportsbooks offering the line at -6 ½ compared to -7.

And while the public is slightly leaning towards the Steelers at Bookmaker.com with the -6 ½ line and towards Arizona with the +7 line elsewhere, one of the biggest obstacles the online bookies and those in Vegas may have to overcome is a Cardinals outright win.

Nearly 85 percent of the -215 money line action was going Arizona's way.  The payout at Bookmaker.com - a sweet $215 for every $100 bet.
