The Oklahoma Sooners are 9-1 and their odds to win the 2009 BCS Championship were set at +450. If you do the math, you come up with some great value: A Sooners title pays $450 for every $100 bet.

"Thanks to Bob Stoops' old team pulling out an upset Saturday, the Oklahoma Sooners on Sunday were one step closer to their goal of returning to college football's national championship game. But they still got passed.
"Iowa's upset of No. 3-ranked Penn State was the only upset at the top of the polls, so the Sooners moved up one spot in the rankings.
"After the Sooners demolished Texas A&M 66-28 in College Station on Saturday, they inched up to fifth in the Bowl Championship Series standings and fifth in the Associated Press Top 25 (not a BCS component).
"But OU did not move up in either the USA Today coaches poll (the Sooners stayed fourth; Florida jumped from fifth to third) or the Harris Interactive poll (the Sooners stayed fifth; Texas jumped from sixth to fourth). Oklahoma's computer ranking improved from ninth last week to a tie for fifth this week."
The Sooners return to the field Nov. 22 to face No. 2 Texas Tech in what just might be a matchup of the two best teams in the nation right now.
The Sooners will be coming off their victory over Texas A&M and the Red Raiders will be coming off back-to-back victories over Texas and Oklahoma State, the most recent a 56-20 drubbing of the Cowboys.
"Our team is in a great position," said OU quarterback Sam Bradford. "We still have a lot of our goals out in front of us."
The truth of Bradford's statement, however, wasn't apparent until Tech blasted OSU later in the day Saturday.
Texas Tech, incidentally, offered slightly better payout odds than Oklahoma to win the 2009 BCS Championship - a $100 bet would pay $500 still at Sportsbook.com
