How good are the Arizona Cardinals really?  We'll find out Sunday as the red hot Super Bowl champion New York Giants head to the desert.

The New York Giants vs. Arizona Cardinals betting odds opened at Giants -3 ½ .  Depending on who you like in this matchup, you can get the Giants at BetUS.com at -3 or Arizona at +3 ½ at betED.com.

The Giants rolled past the Ravens, 30-10. ... The Cardinals moved closer to wrapping up the NFC West title, going up to Seattle and defeating the Seahawks, 26-20.

Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner faces a tough test against the Giants' second-ranked pass defense. Warner had 381 passing yards and two touchdowns against the Panthers' fifth-ranked pass defense in Week 8.

The Cardinals need to beat New York, have San Francisco lose at Dallas and Seattle tie or lose at Washington to win the division crown for the first time since the team was based in St. Louis. Arizona last made the playoffs in 1998.

"We're in good position," said coach Ken Whisenhunt, whose team leads the weak NFC West by four games, "but it's not a done deal yet."

Despite the Cardinals impressive 7-3 record, it is diminished somewhat by the fact that none of its division rivals have won more than 2 games and Arizona has had a tough time playing on the road in the East.  Gamblers have little faith in Arizona either it appears as this was one of the most lopsided matchups in terms of betting action.  Nearly 90 percent of the spread action and 90 percent of the money line action was going New York's way.  Despite this, there has not been much of a line move.

The home team has gone 4-0 in this series since 2001.

The Giants are 11-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record, 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games on grass and 20-6 ATS in their last 26 road games.  The Cardinals are 6-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
