Connecticut is getting more action than any of the other Final Four teams according to the noon observations from Gambling911.com.
"Much of the action in the UConn's game against Michigan State shows that just under 80 percent of the public is on the Huskies," points out Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.
Likewise, Connecticut was still the most bet on team heading into the Final Four Weekend. Sportsinteraction.com had the line at Connecticut -4 ½ as did nearly 80 percent of online sportsbooks. Sportingbet.com offered the line at -4 for those living outside the United States.
Villanova was getting only slightly more betting action than North Carolina (55 percent vs. 45 percent). North Carolina was a -7 favorite across the board. Prior to the start of the 2009 NCAA Tournament, North Carolina had only beaten Virginia Tech by a mere 3 points then went on to lose against Florida State by 3 points.
"Nearly every trend we could find points to Villanova being able to cover here," Shapiro said.
Both game OVERS were getting around 60 percent of the totals action.
Money line betting action was near even on both games.
