Bookmaker.eu has released a series of NFL Fantasy QB matchups for Week 2 of the 2014 season. Betting on each of these matchups was available here.
In the first matchup, Matthew Stafford of the Lions goes up against Cam Newton of the Panthers. Stafford would pay out $10.50 for every $10 bet here as Newtom comes into this one as the favorite.
Stafford's two deep touchdown passes to Calvin Johnson helped lead to a career-high 97.5 Total QBR, the highest of Week 1, according to ESPN Stats & Info while Newton did not play last week.
The Gambling911.com pick for Sunday will be on Jake Locker of the Titans at -165 vs. Tony Romo of the Cowboys.
ESPN.com notes: “Locker had a phenomenal first game in Ken Whisenhunt's new offense, spreading the ball around to eight different receivers and throwing for 8.1 yards per pass attempt. Expect the success to continue on Sunday versus a Cowboys defense that surrendered the third-most passing yards in the NFL last year (286.8 per game) then started off 2014 by allowing a 125.5 passer rating to 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick.”
