The Carolina Panthers are streaking right now, which is something that you’ll want to take notice of, especially since they easily handed the Buccaneers a victory and are poised to hit the Falcons hard this week. The Atlanta Falcons are trying to rebound, and do have a lot of upside, but they will need more than what they’ve been offering lately to get the upper hand against a Panthers team that is surging in many ways.

Current line: Atlanta Falcons +7 / Over & Under at 44

Time:  Sunday, November 3, 1:00 pm (EST) FOX, NFL Red Zone

Matt Ryan and company are not a bad squad, and they have proven that they can beat larger teams even when they aren’t favored. Even so, they have struggled as of late and they are going to be fighting against a hard defense that will most likely try to isolate and trap Ryan’s offensive prowess. Harry Douglas, and Steven Jackson will need to do a lot more than they did against Arizona. They will need to establish a good balance between the run and passing games, and Ryan will need to look for more targets. The more he can diversify the offense, the better chances he will have.

Meanwhile the Panthers need to continue their surge with the run. The running game and Cam Newton’s spot on passing at times is something that has teams scratching their heads. The scores have favored Carolina at times because of the upside that Cam Newton brings. Even though his accuracy can be quite hit and miss, he still has enough to get the job done. While Ryan has to be perfect Newton can maintain a level of mediocrity that will propel the team to victory, which means the supporting cast is doing quite well.

The Match Up:

Week 9 is shaping up to be an interesting one for the NFL and these two teams are going to be pursing an interesting landscape. The Falcons will need to prepare for a Carolina team that wants a shot at the playoffs and would like to continue their streak. If the Falcons want to stay alive, they need to win more games and this could be a good one to start a momentum swing in their favor. With all that has been said and done on either side, we’re going with the Falcons on this one. They’re going to snap out of the funk and win, even if they are +7 right now.

The Edge:

Atlanta Falcons +7

SportsCashSystem.com Prediction: Atlanta Falcons +7
