Full Tilt Poker Pays Licensing Fee to Alderney Gambling Control Commission

WickedChopsPoker.com is reporting that troubled online poker firm Full Tilt Poker has paid the $450,000 owed to the licensing agency Alderney Gambling Control Commission.

The AGCC yanked Full Tilt Poker’s license on June 29, citing nonpayments to US citizens, an ongoing investigation connected to the US indictments of two co-founders and FTP’s alleged discrimination when it came to paying out those in other nations.

The licensing fee default came to light during a hearing by AGCC into Full Tilt Poker’s solvency and whether the company could continue serving the online poker community. Conflicting reports at the time suggested that FTP would be unwilling to pay the licensing fees unless they could be guaranteed Alderney turned the switch back on.

WCP was also reporting that US-based employees of Full Tilt Poker have finally been laid off, with pay while Raymond Bitar will apparently stay on as CEO.
