With the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) suspending Full Tilt Poker’s license last week, European online poker sites have not hesitated to raise their bonus offerings.

“Not only are they rushing to grab hold of Full Tilt Poker’s customers, these sites are also in competition with one another to provide new signups with the very best bonuses out there,” noted Payton O’Brien, Gambling911.com Senior Editor.

Operators have made no qualms about capitalizing on Full Tilt’s plight.

PartyPoker spent the past couple of days refining its marketing efforts with great success.  Representatives for that firm tell Gambling911.com their “no fee tournament entry” has gone absolutely gangbusters.

William Hill, meanwhile, stunned us all with a €1250 bonus offer for new players.  England’s biggest bookmaker utilizes the iPoker network, which was only 600 “real cash” players behind PartyPoker in terms of the overall world online poker rankings, but Party it seems got off to a quick start gobbling up the competition.  There was only a 100 player difference just days ago.

The Commission suspended Full Tilt’s license in the wake of an indictment handed down by the US Justice Department charging the company with money laundering and bank fraud.  Full Tilt also has not paid its US customers since April 15 while slow pay complaints were also coming from other countries around the globe.  Moneybookers announced it had ceased doing business with Full Tilt the day of the suspension.

With a European investment group stepping in to take over Full Tilt Poker, competing Internet card rooms are looking to accelerate their efforts at luring in disgruntled FTP players.

The Commission also confirmed this week they were in talks with this “mystery” group of investors.

“The objective of these discussions is to enable the site to reopen to its current and prospective players,” the regulator’s executive director, André Wilsenach, said.
