San Jose, Costa Rica – As if dropping $1 million on the table isn't enough, Americas Cardroom today announced a Satellite Madness component to its already lucrative OSS II, the Online Super Series that kicks off on Sunday, January 13th (2013) and runs for two weeks straight. The US-friendly online poker site is guaranteeing $30,000 worth of seats into all Week 1 events through a special Satellite Madness component featuring buy-ins as lows as $0.55.

"We want to crown more winners in this year's series, so we've made it even easier to get into OSS II," said Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. "With qualifiers from as low as $0.55, poker players still debating whether OSS II is right for them have a big reason to enter this year's million-dollar series."

OSS II is Americas Cardroom's signature online poker series. The $1 million guaranteed Online Super Series features 82 events spread out over two weeks. The series will culminate in a $200,000 guaranteed tournament, with $75k, $100k, and $150k tournaments thrown into the mix, too. OSS II also includes leaderboard competitions with extra prizes on the line for the top performers in the series. The online poker tournament series runs from January 13th through January 27th, and low buy-in qualifiers are now running.

Just announced for the series is a Satellite Madness component for all Week 1 events. Americas Cardroom is guaranteeing three seats every 30 minutes on Saturday to OSS II Week 1 events. The satellites run from 11:00am to 10:45pm ET. In total, over $30,000 in tournament seats will be up for grabs through Satellite Madness.

Online poker players can get into the $27.50 and $44 events through $4.40 satellites. For the $109 and $215 events, $14.40 satellites are on the schedule. Those who are eying the big $100k Guarantee in Week 1 can get into it today through a 100-seat Guarantee satellite for$60+3 at 8:00pm ET. Players can also win their way to the 100-seat through $2 rebuy/add-on qualifiers every hour.

While OSS II is shaping up to be massive, fans of smaller stakes aren't being left out. Also launching on January 13th is the $5k Micro Race, a points race just for small-stakes cash game players. Any player who sits down at micro-stakes ring game tables will automatically compete in the $5k Micro Race. Micro stakes tables include $0.01/$0.02, $0.02/$0.05, and $0.05/$0.10 tables. Americas Cardroom will award points to players who contribute to a pot where rake is collected. Points will be awarded at a rate of rake x 1.25.

At the end of the 2-week period, Americas Cardroom will spread the $5k prize pool among the top ranked players. Funds will be credited to the winners' accounts in real cash within five days of the completion of the points race. Micro-stakes players looking to get in on the OSS II series are in luck. By playing $0.55 OSS II satellites, players will earn 25 additional points toward the $5k Micro Race leaderboard.
