LAS VEGAS – The 2024-2025 football season has reached its final stretch in Circa Sports’ pro football contest Circa Survivor. Historically, weeks 17 and 18 of the world’s largest professional football contest are smooth sailing for contestants. Only one entry was eliminated in weeks 17 or 18 during the 2020-2023 seasons. However, that changed this year. On Sunday, Indianapolis’ loss eliminated 16 entries knocking out nearly half of the remaining field.

Circa Survivor divides week 17 into two mini-weeks. Week 17A consisted of the doubleheader on Christmas day and the Thursday night game. Week 17B included the remaining 13 games on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. 34 entries survived the Christmas games and advanced to week 17B. During the later mini-week, 16 entries picked Indianapolis, eight picked LAR, four picked Buffalo, four picked Tampa Bay and LAC and Philadelphia were selected by one contestant each.

Indianapolis held a heavy favorite against New York going into Sunday. With the majority of the remaining contestants having Indianapolis available to select, they were the most-picked team during the mini-week. However, New York jumped to an early lead in the game and never looked back. Drew Lock surprised fans and experts alike with a near-perfect passer rating. Malik Nabers scored two touchdowns and New York ended up beating Indianapolis 45-33 knocking out nearly half of the Survivor field.

Eight entries endured a major sweat as Los Angeles faced Arizona on Saturday night. Arizona drove downfield for a possible go-ahead touchdown but threw an interception in the end zone. Those eight contestants have survived another week. The remaining 10 contests who relied on Buffalo, Tampa Bay, LAC and Philadelphia will also advance.

With one week left in the contest 18 entries remain. If all 18 survive, they will each take home $792,555.55. That number will increase with each additional elimination. A check presentation for the winners of Circa Survivor and Circa Million VI will be held at Circa Resort & Casino’s sister property, the D Las Vegas, on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025.
