Mendelssohn Odds to Win the 2018 Kentucky Derby - 6-1 Overnight

Mendelssohn odds to win the 2018 Kentucky Derby were at 6-1.  Odds were previously at 5-1.

POST POSITION POSSIBILITIES

The 14 post position has produced a mere two winners, the last one in 1961.

THE GOOD

He killed it in the UAE Derby, winning by 18½ lengths.

THE BAD

You'll hear it again and again: UAE Derby winners have an awful history in the Kentucky Derby, going 0 for 9 since 2002.  One of the issues here is that Aidan O'Brien's horses run best on turf.  Their experience on dirt is lacking and that's a big drawback for the Kentucky Derby.
