The online bookies made out great on Sunday during Week 13 of the 2008 NFL season.  The books won with both Cleveland cover a 4 ½ point line by a half point and a Buffalo home loss early on in the afternoon while losing money with the New York Giants and Baltimore Ravens easy cover.

The Colts were the most heavily bet on game of the early games, which helped boost online bookmakers overall profits.

But it was the late afternoon games that really helped put an exclamation mark on things.

Both the New England Patriots and New York Jets lost their respective games and this meant a huge payday for the books.

"These were the most bet on teams of the day," points out Dan Shapiro of Gambling911.com.

Many gamblers tend to double up on the late afternoon games, especially after winning early on.
