*Isle of Man Signs Cooperation Agreement With Estonian Gambling Authorities - The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission and Estonian Tax and Customs Board have signed an agreement to cooperate and share information between the two gambling authorities.

Based on the principles of protection of consumers and preservation of public order, the agreement’s objective is to improve regulatory standards both in the online and land based sectors, through exchange of knowledge, provision of assistance and establishment of a good working relationship.

Both regulators look forward to building on the provisions within the agreement to explore and improve the consumer protection opportunities that cooperation offers, to streamline processes and to create efficiencies for business.

In welcoming the agreement, Steve Brennan, Chief Executive of the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission said, “The agreement builds on the Isle of Man’s commitment to international cooperation and provides a strong endorsement of the excellent reputation and international standing that the Island has earned through more than a decade of sound regulation of gambling activity.”

*"I was Stupid and Naive to Have Bet Says Banned Player Andros Townsend

LONDON (Reuters) - Suspended England under-21 winger Andros Townsend says he was stupid and naive to have bet on televised matches while on loan from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur last year.

Townsend had to pull out of the squad for the European under-21 championship in Israel after being charged with breaches of the Football Association's rules.

He was fined 18,000 pounds ($27,900) and banned for four months, with three of them suspended, meaning the player will still be available for the start of next season.

"I was bored and there were TV ads promoting bets you could have on the matches I was watching," he said. "So I downloaded the phone app and started having small wagers to make watching games as a neutral fun.

"I was incredibly naive and didn't realise I was doing anything wrong," he added. "I assumed as long as you weren't betting on your club, then it was OK."
