New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has accused National Basketball Association (NBA) Commissioner Adam Silver of a “bait and switch” when it comes to sports betting.

The Garden State has been trying to legalize sports betting for over a year now but the NBA and other leagues have filed suit to prevent this.  So far they have succeeded in doing so.

Silver, however, abruptly changed his stance on legalized sports wagering this fall.  He now says the NBA is ready to embrace such activity.

Christie said during a televised interview Monday night that it was "kind of crazy" for the NBA Commissioner to ask him to help with a legalization push when Silver is fighting efforts to make sports betting legal in New Jersey.
