In an interview to be published on the Gambling911.com website Wednesday, Harrah's Interactive Entertainment's new CEO, Mitch Garber, reassured that his company's move into the European online gambling market will be done so with caution.  Experience will play a very important role as well.

When Gambling911.com's Jenny Woo asked how he planned to avoid the pitfalls experienced by MGM when they delved into the European online gambling market a few years back, Garber had this to offer:

"What Harrahs' is doing is they've brought on an experienced online team and that is a difference from MGM's experience," he said.  "I also think it's a different time than it was when MGM made their effort.  At the same time, having the World Series of Poker is going to be of great value provided that we're able to extract that value around the world.

"We have very strong ratings with ESPN in the United States; we have very strong ratings around the world whenever it's a World Series of Poker event.  A WSOP bracelet is a WSOP bracelet.  That's what all poker players play for.  We need to capitalize on that; we need to expand the popularity of the World Series of Poker and it's broadcast around the world.

"It's the longest-running brand in poker with more than 4 decades of history and tradition that is now defined as the most trusted name in poker that awards the largest prize pools in the game and the most coveted prize in gaming."

Watch for Mitch Garber's interview tomorrow as he discusses the future of Harrah's Interactive Entertainment and the online gambling industry in general.
